They need to do only one thing! Give viewers option to either select new packs/plans or select the old monthly fixed plans. It should depend upon customer whether he wants to select a-la-carte channels or want good old monthly packs.

TRAI should interfere with channel prices

For channels like ex; SUN TV 19rs + Taxes its too much , they get more profit from ads then why my the hell the customer should pay 19rs , The HD version of Sun network channels utmost waste. Still they are 40% HD and 60% Upscaled.
For SD channels maximum price should be 7rs
For HD channels maximum price should be 12rs
And NCF should be slashed to 50rs

The new regime was not affected our big networks. We expected a fall of ratings of channels with high prices (mainly major networks) in future during the implementation of the rule. But from each major network only less than 5 channels got negatively affected(that too not severely).Also through new rule the pay channels became able to collect more subscription fee than old regime. So the impact of rating loss (if any) can be make up through it. Overall with the new rule most of the pay channels didn't happened any injuries.May a small price reduction from broadcasters may happen but don't expect more.otherwise Trai should do something.
Its 2 months now, and I seriously wishes to go back to old regime

There is simple solution :
If channel prize is x, they can show max (20-x) minutes of advertisement per hour.

For FTA: it's 20 minutes
For ₹5 channel : it's 15 minutes
For ₹19 channel : only 1 minute per hour

Problem will be solved.

Old plans were better....used to get more channels in same price but now we have to compromise by making up our mind saying we don't watch that channel so let's not select it....earlier with many channels we used to surf a lot,hunt some good content and view it....now all is gone...

Nowadays people are adapting to ott contents not sure what will be future of DTH....TRAI will understand it later

And it's a pain to select channels. Cuz the programs keep on shuffling. Worst is if you are a football fan. You will never know when our beloved Star moves football matches from HD channels to SD channels.

Haha not a football fan bro ....in GEC HD channels I have to compromise a lot to bring down the cost
For example completely removed star Bharat HD and sab HD... Similarly in infotainment section removed nat Geo wild HD, history TV HD, foxlife HD,TLC HD,Nick HD...earlier these HD channels were at available at 99 dishtv family HD add on(23 HD channels) ..now with just 5-6 channels cost will go above 99
