Best option to reduce NCF is, first take their curated pack which contains FTA and Pay channel and then add rest of the channels from ala carte and bouquets... Here in SITI cable also, you had to pay more if you don't take curated pack which is giving discount on NCF.

But no one talking about Carriage Fees for broadcasters. Which is now maximum 4 lakh per month..

From what levels are the carriage fees brought down to 4 lakhs per month?
Do we have some data on current carriage fees of some channels?

Points that were missed in the initial post and discussion, but later added.

1. MRP of a channel should not be more than the MRP of any bouquet containing that channel in order to bring further reasonableness in the bouquet formation and pricing.
2. Number of bouquets of pay channels not to be more than number of pay channels offered by a broadcaster.

Star, Zee, TV 18 prepared khichdi of bouquets.

Let's take first bouquet for now.
As per new rule, any channel with MRP above Rs.12 cannot be included in a broadcaster bouquet.
Ignoring that, the Ala-carte sum of the channels in above bouquet is 69.
As per new rule, the bouquet price should not be below 46.

So some changes will be required to retain the bouquet.
First bring down the Ala-carte price of SUN TV andd KTV to Rs. 12.
Then the Ala-carte sum will become 55 and bouquet can be priced at 36.6
The bouquet subscriber will get a benefit of 3.4 rupees.

One nice thing that will happen. Hopefully Zee learns a lesson

DPOs have also been mandated that they will not charge more than Rs.160 per month for giving all channels available on their platform.

Maximum NCF can't be more than 160.

Ala-carte sum is 82, possible minimum bouquet price is 54.
The pack is already priced above the ceiling.
If 19 becomes 12, Ala-carte sum is 61, minimum bouquet price is 40.7.
SUN can price the bouquet anywhere between 40.7 and 61.
