NCF should be less in Higher end packs to make tv popular and affordable I.e in the increasing pack, the ncf should be decreased propotionally

Good thing is that Rs. 19 price ceiling for individual channels to be eligible for inclusion in broadcaster bouquets is still applicable so we won't have absurdly high priced A La Carte channels barring few exceptions that too will not cost more than Rs. 25 or 30

As I earlier said long time back, their should be a fixed charge that a customer have to give for maintaining his stb active whether he watches 1 channel or 100 channels (paid or free). There should be a criteria something like : NCF is, say, 150, then till 150, total cost of channels that a customer choose he have to give only 150. Just like our electricity bills, there is a fixed charge.
For ex, if a customer buy channels worth rs. 150 he have to give only 150.
If the customer buy channels worth even rs. 1 above 150, he have to give next additional charge with 150.
Just make it simple & easy for customers.

Want to know
As TRAI has asked the broadcasters to make their channels which are available on Free Dish, free on all DTH operators also. Can broadcasters pay the prescribed amount and remain on DD free dish as the penalty is only 1 lakh rupees?

After removing cieling price of NCf, TRAI should slash DPO margin to 10% from 20% on pay channels

Broadcasters may go to the court against the clause on making pay channels that are available on the DDFD for free on the other DPOs.

Now the court will put a stay on the new NTO and broadcasters will be able to complete their DD free dish period till 31 March 2025. But they are thinking of going to court a little early, there are still 90 days left, they should go after at least 60 days.
