TRAI says 44% of DTH subscribers inactive

May be because mobile growth has now peaked but DTH is still growing & has pan India presence. Also customers would be benefited as they will always have an option & not have to worry about more expenses after changing DTH.
 
Its easy for mnp as it only require a sim but for dth portability there r various things like stb remote wires lmb dish etc ...people buy n throw sims casually but dths r more expensive n cannot be changed so easily...

Ya it can only happen when govt or all dth company plan to make one n similar stb remote dish n wires ....whenever a person wanna port he can simply buy a digicard from specific company n put it in his universal common stb ....

Now another question will arise. why a dth subscriber can only port to another DTH why he cannot port to digital cable or IPTV and vise versa as all are distribution platform ? So situation is very difficult to solve.
 
Actually STB market should be made open just like any other commodity so customer will choose STB as per his choice & then simply buy cam from DTH to activate. If there will then all problems can be resolved by govt.
