NCF should be reduced, most of stakeholders also agree that NCF is high. But at same time they are strictly against any further changes or restrictions in channel/pack pricing. Would be interesting to see what TRAI comes with this time. BTW I have very less expectations from them, they can make things even more complex.

1. SD channel price should be under Rs 5 and Rs 10 for HD
2. NCF should be fixed. Rs 100 for SD and Rs 130 for HD Set top Box.

The problem is that the discounts offered by broadcasters are not permanent. They will revoke anytime as the control is now with them. Operators will then bear the cost with low ncf.

Trai didn't expect this smart move by Broadcasters. They played it well. Trai succumbed to it.

My suggestions are.
1.NCF should be reduced.Channel count should be same for SD and HD channel.
2.Price of HD channels max:15rs and Price of SD channels max:10rs
3.Genre wise bouquets
4.Price of Channels(less popular) should be free or greater then 2rs.
5.SImple and Understandable System.
6.No Dominance of Broadcaster side or DPOs side.

What TRAI can do is remove DD channels from ncf slab. That's 25 extra SD channel space. Atleast this will be something for a start!!!!!

Big No.. that means for 10 pay channel we have to pay 120+130+18%= 295..

Currently we are paying 190+130+18%=378 for 10 pay channel of Rs 19 each.. (according to trai rule.)
What are you trying to say, Please explain your point Rs12 is better then Rs19.
