My realistic suggestions. That doesn't kill the television industry.

NCF should be highest at ₹100. Meanwhile SD and HD shall be equally priced to encourage broadcasters to introduce more HD channels.

Highest rates should be capped as the following :-

Entertainment channels : ₹10
Movie channels : ₹25
Sports channels : ₹75
Infotainment channels : ₹20
Kids channels : ₹5
Music channels : ₹5
News channels : ₹1
Religious channels : ₹2

No maximum rates cap for ad-free channels.

Don't judge me about the pricing. It's upto broadcasters. Remember that they pay in 100s crore for movies and 1000s of crores for sporting event. Because of low revenue we are not getting most important sporting events like Copa America Cup, La Liga, etc. Also news channels should be encouraged to go FTA.

Meanwhile brosdcasters should be given freedom to increase and decrease rates whenever they want. Also strict action should be taken against DPOs for not providing bouquets with unavailable channels.

I suggest ncf to be removed completely and charge fta channels @10p. Also channel rates should be restricted Rs.15 max.

What are you trying to say, Please explain your point Rs12 is better then Rs19.
I am trying to say even 12 Rs for a single channel is also too much. It should be under 7 Rs for a premium channel..

Movie channels : ₹25
Sports channels : ₹75
Infotainment channels : ₹

Rs 75 for a single channel? Okay bye..

Entertainment Genre channels will start deteriorating, we will not see any good quality shows at this rate. They will be more dependent on Ad revenue and only work for TRP.

Price for Movie is OK but after tax it would become 29.5 which high over NCF. Same for Sports, Rs 75 would be good without NCF but as we are paying NCF it is huge price for one channel.

Infotainment needs quality content without caring for TRP so Rs 20 is adequate.

Price of news channels should be up to Rs. 8 (with tax) because we need genuine journalism not TRP friendly Hindu Muslim and Pakistan debates.

SONY GOLF was niche, priced at Rs. 40 but eventually was shut down.
Even now, there are very less Ala-carte takers for Sports channels (in fact, any HD channel) at Rs.19.
Just one sport only channel ain't gonna work.

If 100s of news channels are FTA. Pay ones despite their views are not gonna survive.

Infotainment channels already has great content. I am worried about them disappearing in coming years.

Broadcasters are not stupid who will price their sports channels with Kabaddi for ₹75 and south dubbed for ₹25. You don't see Star and Sony charge full amount now of ₹19 now. They are charging ₹10 and ₹15 respectively. These pricing would be reserved for niche offering.

And Entertainment channels gets plenty of ads already. People are skipping one GEC over the other because of ridiculous pricing. ₹10 makes sense if channels are bought on bouquet basis. They make less profit on individual channels.
