Upgrade to HD DVR from SD DVR?

I'm looking forward to do this update, is it a good idea? I can view HD channels on SD DVR too and the quality is good and so asking this question.

Some queries:

1. What is the price of the upgrade?
2. How much hours of recording can the HD DVR do?
3. Will I be able to retain to my SD DVR recordings in HD DVR?
4. Is the quality of SD channels same for the DVRs?
5. Will I get any complimentary offer on doing the update?
6. Any other benefits of HD DVR over SD DVR?

4) yes for SD channels the quality is same but the quality for HD channels will improve
