Sources in the tinsel town say that director Nesan has canned about 70 percent of Jilla and only a very few scenes and songs are left to be shot. The director, despite being a newbie, is very swift in canning the scenes and the stars acting in the film, including Vijay and Mohanlal, have extended full support to him ensuring that the shooting goes on as planned.

It may be mentioned here that the director was to shoot some scenes with Mohanlal and Ravi Mariya in Theni recently but had to move back to Chennai after Mohanlal communicated his inability to join the sets owing to ill health.

@Lal_Mohanlal will complete his portions on a priority basis. His recent illness was a setback. The complete professional . Mohanlal has cancelled the shoot of his new film with Jithu Joseph (Memories) & allotted dates 2 complete Vijay film.

Vijay, Kajal to head to Bulgaria for #Jilla

Here’s the latest from the Vijay-Kajal-starrer Jilla. After completing the film’s climax fight sequence, which is currently being shot in Hyderabad, the team will head to Bulgaria next month to shoot a couple of songs for the film.

Director Neason says, “We chose Bulgaria as we wanted to hunt for some interesting, new locations that filmmakers have not explored till now. So far, we have found out about nine locations in Bulgaria and we are yet to zero in on the places we will shoot in.”

This will be the first schedule abroad for the team. As the film is a family-based subject, most of the scenes have been shot in Chennai. For the climax fight scene, it said that the crew has erected a huge wooden set in Hyderabad.

The shooting of ‘Jilla’ is progressing at a brisk pace. The latest news is that the climax of the film has been shot. Interestingly, multiple cameras were used to shoot the climax sequence and it was shot near Hyderabad airport. The remaining portion to be shot includes 5 songs, 2 action sequences and few more scenes.

The Jilla team, including its hero Vijay, are now camping in Hyderabad to shoot some important scenes for the film. Wondering what the team is doing there when the entire state is affected by riots owing to the Telangana issue?

Well, the team is not affected by these riots as the shooting is progressing in the famous Ramoji Film City. Every scene that requires to be canned in this schedule will be shot at the Ramoji Film City and cast and crew need not venture out for anything because all facilities including boarding, lodging and recreation are available here, state sources. So, Vijay fans can heave a sigh of relief that their star is safe!
