Breaking W.e.f 1st April 2018, Star Network Channels will be removed from base pack

Going a bit off topic but....
Things are not same for every dth .
Dish tv can't afford to do it due to two reasons:
1.They are lagging a far way behind in channel comparison so doing so will increase chance of migration.
2.Unlike airtel they have already issue with sony and ten has already removed and according to vadirocks bro chances are high of removal of all sony channels from base pack from next month.
If that will be the scenario then imagine the situation all sports pack having no sports channel.(first sports pack with no pay sports channel barring d sports)
I think it will be better for them to wait till 4th April and if star won bcci rights too then agree to hike 30% in condition of adding all star pending channels.

Star is playing a very dirty game here. This is not acceptable at all and very unprofessional, waiting for a stern reply from Airtel side for this. Having said that, Airtel's delay to add a lot of Pending channels and HD channels is making many people switch to TS already, (including myself) unfortunately situation could be worse after this issue.

Just now saw a add in stat vijay they saying to switch to other DTH or cable service to view star channels more over its not gid fr airtel if they did not take necessary action they will suffer lot and lost their subscribers fr sure moreover star is indirectly supporting other DTH services who hav undergone deal with star

That's what Star want, just watch IPL on any medium and don't leave it, if you watch it anywhere then they will get their money from that medium as well as Viewership which will translate to Ad revenue. For them problem only starts if we stop watching IPL. Then they don't get anything and that's the situation they never want to be in. Till then it will be raining money for them.

Very true but the fact is can we really stop watching IPL?? I was so disappointed when CSK wasnt part of IPL for the past 2 years. I really decided not to watch any single match but then I couldnt resist more than one or two weeks and started watching it for my favorite stars from all IPL sides for the rest of the season. This is the situation. People cannot live without IPL in those two months. The entertainment is unparalleled and unmatched for all the cricket lovers. Star knows that and that is why they spend such a big big amount of money to grab the rights.
