Very true but the fact is can we really stop watching IPL?? I was so disappointed when CSK wasnt part of IPL for the past 2 years. I really decided not to watch any single match but then I couldnt resist more than one or two weeks and started watching it for my favorite stars from all IPL sides for the rest of the season. This is the situation. People cannot live without IPL in those two months. The entertainment is unparalleled and unmatched for all the cricket lovers. Star knows that and that is why they spend such a big big amount of money to grab the rights.

That's the reason why star is paying 16k crore . They know 100 crore indian cannot live without watching it even if he cannot afford tv and has to watch on road side tea shop in evening still he will watch it

I will never go for other Dth over this star network issue,. off topic : Farmers grew wheat, pulses, rice ,etc with very hard work but they never blackmail people that they will not give their products to the people he (Farmers) never blackmail people then how can a media network (star) is blackmailing that they will provide channels to those you fullfil there requirements so friends do not get blackmail over this matter because if they realize that customers are giving more money next time they will ask for more and other network will also attempt this type of blackmailing

Also Tatasky is part owned by 20th century Fox(30%stake) who also own star network... The same tactics may be used to truncate, encapsulate and even black out other networks... For a company that releases such an AD can go to any levels..
