Breaking W.e.f 1st April 2018, Star Network Channels will be removed from base pack

This looks totally illegal to ask subscribers from one DTH to move to another via the same DTH feed.

Star should have made such advertisements on Dailies and not on someones proprietary feed.

There is no separate feed for Airtel Digital TV from Star side. They are showing this ad through their own channels which telecasts same content to all operators. So there is no illegal activity happened here.

Nopes, instead of telling switch to another DTH they could have said "Star is available on these platforms and leftout Airtel". It still sounds illegal for me, only legal experts could clarify.

People should decide with who they want to stay and not some channel promoting or brainwashing them. There is a thin line between proper and improper and i believe this channel has crossed it.

I think no provider can increase fare for already subscribed customers, if they do so its like cheating

It just shows the depth of the issue between Star & Airtel. But still I didn't see anything illegal here. One thing I must say is, Star gone very low level in this matter...

But i won't surprise coz yesterday they gave & circulate Missed call number in twitter to get particularly one dth new connection

Switching operator is not easy as people already invested a lot. They will simply pay more for their fav star chs

Though hd Channels is the issue maximum hd customers will settle for sd feed in rare case like ipl ss1 hd may they subscribe has alacarte

For this switching to other dth is could be a huge loss for the move on users imo

Instead of spending 1500-2000 for new dth, one can just subscribe for a la carte
