Exactly though 95% of star sd Channels was given to all adtv users in base pack itself

Though hd Channels is the issue maximum hd customers will settle for sd feed in rare case like ipl ss1 hd may they subscribe has alacarte

For this switching to other dth is could be a huge loss for the move on users imo

Yes, as Sarkar bro said, they already invested a good amount when they took the connection. And there is no offers running for exchanging the connection like when RDTV shutdown news came.

It just shows the depth of the issue between Star & Airtel. But still I didn't see anything illegal here. One thing I must say is, Star gone very low level in this matter...

Yes, though it sounds illegal it could still be legal on the books of law which only legal experts can clarify. Yes, Star should have dealt this with a simple disconnection notice via channels and media and could have had the discussions with Airtel the way they wanted.

TS being a Tata & Star (directly or indirectly Fox & Star are both one and the same) tie-up would be benefited by these moves of star so probably to get more users under the home brand they could be going this low.

Yeah, they have crossed it. I think majority of people will not switch DTH only for Star channels.

Yes, for me i like Star Movies and Family likes Star Vijay (mostly due to kids singing shows) but for a single channel (still not used to Fox Life or Nat Geo) i wont move provider and hopefully with TRAI rules i could pick Star Vijay via A-La-Carte so not a big loss . I think this would be the same for most people which could be a loss only for Star.

So it seems more like TS trying to lure ADTV subscribers and during IPL this might intensify and we might see huge offers from TS to get other DTH monthly subscribers for signup.

I just saw an ad in which Sushant Singh(Savdhaan India host) has now started to campaign for #maketheswitch.
I saw the ad on ss select 1 hd.

Switching operator is not easy as people already invested a lot. They will simply pay more for their fav star chs

Most simple doubt is, how we can trust other operators , today fight is in between ADTV and Star, tomorrow that may be between TS and Star. As per my understandings , ADTV has no revenge with star channels and they are ready to gave SD channel. It clearly says the issue Star demanding more for HD, definitely they can demand more but the advertisement move or campaign is not up to their standard. Childish behavior of Star.
