Why english movie and entertainment channels show subtitles?

In India we have English subtitles
{In Middle East countries has Arabic subtitles}

in middle east they give arabic subtitles coz they r soeaking in english.... but in india they r giving english subtitles for english content....which i find it very funny....if they giving subtitles in hindi or sumthing its understandable

The subtitles are given for people who understand English but have problems in understanding the accent. Many times I too face problems in understanding their English, so subtitles help.

for viewing each channel you need to give aadhar number to broadcaster

But they are not speaking like Indian People speak in English.
Sometimes it will helpful.
Otherwise no need subtitles.
