There may be many more such 16:9 SD channels. I am not saying that...
But Mostly (around 90%) Indian TV Channels are in 4:3 format.

Guys don't fight. Indian TV broadcast in 4:3 bcoz CRT is dominant, if they broadcast in 16:9 then it will irritating for CRT users here which is not the case in developed world

If LED TV (which are normally 16:9) can stretch and view 4:3
then its not a bad idea for CRT to try 16:9... may be in cinemascope...

What you say about it Sarkar bro ?

There is one problem. Most CRT screen are 21 inch or less than that. So if you don't use whole screen then it will be impossible to read letters as effective viewing area will be small and big black bar on let say 21 inch. Situations will be worse in less than 21 inch TV

U are somewhat right...
And now... what you say about 21:9 format as said by Mr. Maximus :D :p

Until the number of LED Tv users increase, most of the channels will Broadcast in 4:3 ratio

When Star Sports is broadcasting a cricket match played in England, they use Sky Sports feed.
Now when they show the feed on SD channel, it is difficult to read the scoreboard because the feed is in 16:9 Ratio and they put Black Bars below and above

It will take I think 10 years bcoz of Indian users Chalton hai attitude before they upgrade to led [emoji6]

@Maximus Yes 21:9 Ratio Does exist, which is used in Cameras to shoot Movies.
But SD channels are in 4:3 Ratio, when we watch them on a 16:9 Ratio Tv, we will either get Black Bars on left-right sides or we can stretch the picture:k
