Why Indian TV still using 4:3 ratio ?

But SD channels are in 4:3 Ratio, when we watch them on a 16:9 Ratio Tv, we will either get Black Bars on left-right sides or we can stretch the picture:k

Same here. Just having problem with the NEWS Channels :huh

And I am quite happy with OTT players like hotstar. Just waiting for JioTv
 
Please for your own sake google display aspect ratios.

1.33:1 (or 4:3) means black bars on the sides, 1.78:1 (or 16:9) means full coverage and 2.4:1 (or 21:9) means black bars on top and bottom. This is for a regular wide-screen TV.

4:3 looks better in this pics...
But the problem is... the Black Bars on the side. :(
Thats what everyone dont like and for that I posted this thread.
