You can expect some good flicks from Zee as well. As of Now, they just bought movies which are supposed to be average flicks. Once they're active in the market, Hopefully, they will buy some superstar/ super hits.

My expectations over Zee is more than the experience from them, a change to Asianet.As per barc Asianet is ranked no. 2 after Sun tv in terms of market share. It means Asianet had an equal dominancy like Sun TV.Its harder for other to beat Asianet. Due to this they lost their content quality.Its a truth that with good programs can't beat Asianet(Otherwise Mazhavil and flowers may get higher ratings than current).So Asianet had moved without making any steps to improve their quality and by avoiding others innovations keeping mind that they won't affect them. But Zee can change the situation that it is an equal power towards them. Star will be aware about zee's performance in tamil, bangla and all other markets. Along with good content they had some tricks too. So Asianet will be alerted. (As the no. 1 channel in Kerala Asianet doesn't had a good studio compared to Surya, flowers and mazhavil)

I totally agree with you. Still don't know why Asianet managed to keep the ratings for them. Content-wise Flowers and Mazhavil got many good shows compared to Asianet. Asianet still milking the Comedy Stars into 6 -7 shows like Best of Comedy stars, Hits of Comedy Stars, Comedy Time, Comedy Stars Super Cuts, Omnibus Comedy time, etc.
Surprisingly, they randomly name the rounds and doesn't even have elimination round for the past 2 years. And they are so proud of this show.
Surya Tv trying hard to retain the second position. But after their management issue, they shifted their channel management to Chennai, the channel show rapid slow growth. Amrita can actually be a good competition if they change their movie schedule and all. Kaiarali should change We to a music channel and start a movie channel with their old movie collection.

After the entry of Mazhavil and flowers content quality of Asianet decreased tremendously. But women audience stood with Asianet serials and their ratings doesn't fall.So they didn't took any steps to improve themselves.Except Movies, outhouse shows like Bigboss, KBC etc their inhouse non fictions are pathetic.Earlier they were best in non fiction as well as fiction.Zee keralam can make changes.Atleast ending comedy stars.

A large number of Star channels don't bother about progressive content. They show the same type of shows. @Riddhiman agrees as regards Star Jalsha. There are broadly 3 categories:

Only Star Maa is safe because I believe it has modern and progressive shows of all types for all ages. Telugu members can confirm if it is true.

• Previously the No. 1 (except Sun TV in Tamil) but now toppled by Zee: Star Jalsha, Star Vijay.
• Always lagging: Star Suvarna, Star Pravah. However the latter has gone past Colors Marathi.

Only Star Maa is safe because I believe it has modern and progressive shows of all types for all ages. Telugu members can confirm if it is true.

Suvarna was also the no.1 channel once upon a time. It was the first channel to beat the 19 year monopoly of Udaya TV.
But unfortunately they couldn't sustain their no.1 position after Viacom 18s entry.

I think asianets quality channel is asianet movies. It is only worth for money or good entertainment value because of there strong movie library. @niyasmkkv bro do kairali has a strong movie library to start a movie channel? Amritha tv had gud content still not making mark with the gud content they have. Asianet has a legacy so they had huge base on customers. Even the haters of that channel in kerala are not tempt to change that channel from 6.30 to 9.00because of old or middle aged womens in there home. This ladies are addicted to those 3rd rated cheap serials that doesn't has any moral value or anythink. So this poor viewers has also have an important role in quality depreciation of asianet programes.
