Zee TV has slipped to No.3 slot on the Hindi GEC hierarchy, giving way to Colors that stood at No.2 in Week 14 of TAM.

As per data provided by a TAM subscriber (HSM, 4+, C&S, including LC1 markets), almost all the fiction shows of the Zee Network channel saw a dip in viewership numbers. Zee TV lost around 35602 GVTs to register 425698 GVTs in the week ended April 5. Despite decline in viewership, the channel's historical drama, Jodha Akbar made it to the top 10 shows' list.
Star Plus continued to lead the flock with 702324 GVTs, 15722 GVTs up from the previous week's ratings. The fifth episode of Amir Khan's Satyamev Jayate rated around 3900 TVTs on the channel. Six of its shows featured in the top shows' chart.
At No. 2 was Viacom18's Colors that added 98 GVTs to settle with 454335 GVTs in the week. Two of its non-fiction shows made it to the top shows' list as its fiction shows saw marginal difference in their ratings as compared to the previous week.
Star Plus' sister channel Life OK added 13097 GVTs to conclude the week with 384524 GVTs.
Sony Entertainment Television came next with 312298 GVTs (last week 362061 GVTs). The Multi Screen Media (MSM) flagship channel winded up its dance reality show, Boogie Woogie with 1200 TVTs.
At No.6 was MSM's second rung Hindi GEC, SAB TV that added 25781 GVTs to end the week with 298753 GVTs. It pushed its popular fiction property Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah to the top list.
Zee Anmol grossed 69664 GVTs (last week 67809 GVTs) as Sahara One recorded 30030 GVTs (last week 33173 GVTs).
Star Plus' Diya Aur Baati Hum and Saathiya Saath Nibhana were the most watched shows on Hindi GECs with average ratings of 11900 TVTs and 9800 TVTs, respectively.
Next was Colors' Comedy Nights with Kapil that got an average of 9700 TVTs. The March 30 (Sunday) episode of the show with Jwala Gutta and Vijendra Singh garnered 11100 TVTs. It was one of the highest ratedepisodes of the channel. Amitabh Bachchan also went on Kapil's show to promote his latest movie, 'Bhootnath Returns'. The April 5 (Saturday) episode fetched a viewership of 8200 TVTs.
The No.4 show on the list was Zee TV's Jodha Akbar with 8900 TVTs. Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai followed with 7700 TVTs.
SAB TV's Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah clocked 7400 TVTs and was placed at No.6.
The seventh spot was occupied by Colors' Fear Factor with 7100 TVTs.
The next three spots were occupied by Star Plus' Veera with 6900 TVTs, Mahabharat with 6600 TVTs and Pyaar Ka Dard with 76300 TVTs.
For the record, the figures mentioned are approximate TVT figures. TVT is television viewership in 1000s (TVR in 1000). It is an average number of individuals in '000s that are available at any given minute of a programme/day part that is under consideration. It captures growth in TV audiences in the country in absolute numbers. The TVR system, in contrast, works on percentages.
