This might happen after merger.. remember mergers mostly leads to slim down of content nd focus going on few particular things.these channel's might become 1 new channel
1) &xplor HD / Zee cinemaHD (into premium HD hindi movie channel)
2) Zee classics/Sony max 2 (old movies)
3) Zee bollywood/Sony WAH ( hindi movies)
4) Sony pal/Zee anmol (serial channel)

Remember this is a non binding agreement deal..means it can get cancelled any time..they asked for 90days agreement.. that's Dec 22..if anyone backs out before 90days .deal gets cancelled... for easy remberence ..keep Spiderman no way home in mind..it's releasing on dec22..a Sony movie..if deals is still in place with no cancellation..conform..the deal happend nd now they r 1 company

Yes it is a non binding agreement. And any party can exit any time . But I don't think either parties are ready to exit before 90 days.

Sony needs Zee, and Zee needs Sony at this point of time.
Yes both do not see bright future the way Zee TV was losing BARC ratings and Sony TV channel is also struggling except Sab TV.Even Sony LIV app also struggling to attract subscribers, there are hardly any takers at Rs 999 per year.Zee5 is still performing better at Rs499 per year

Let's look at streaming here. Sony invests more in Sports where ₹999 is still more than worth it. They don't frequently drop original series and movies like Zee5 does. Meanwhile Zee5 doesn't have any sporting content. Now don't you think both can benefit from each other's content?
