The way I see it, both Zee promoters and Sony would like to complete the merger quickly now. Zee promoters are unlikely to get such a sweet deal from another bidder once Punit is out of the chair, and the last thing Sony would want is to be forced to raise their bid.

India.com will obviously praise Zee. It’s owned by Zee itself so we should get a neutral news source. Still I believe the merger will ultimately be successful despite the boardroom battles.

This behavior by zee is not liked by shareholders. The shares are still falling. Zee board must take some patience and look into matter instead of making fun of their investors. If Invesco doesn't agree due to this attitude. Sony merge won't happen
