DD Free Dish invites applications for vacant MPEG-2 slot in 50th Online E-Auction
The e-auction will as always only remain open to satellite channels licenses by the I&B Ministry for downlinking in India.

India’s public broadcaster Prasar Bharati yesterday invited applications for the allotment of vacant MPEG-2 slots of DD Free Dish DTH platform on a pro-rata basis for the period from 29th December 2020 to 31st March 2021. The broadcaster will allot the slot as per the procedure in the policy guidelines for the allotment of DD Free Dish slots.
The online e-auction if required will by held by the broadcaster on 21st December 2020 after noon. The e-auction will as always only remain open to satellite channels licenses by the I&B Ministry for downlinking in India.

The e-auction will remain open to TV channels categorized in different buckets in accordance with the genres/language of the channel and their starting reserve price. The broadcasters desirous of allotment of slot on DD Free Dish will be required to provide clear and unambiguous proof in support of genre classification of their channel.
