MIB cancels ‘Mauja Mosti’ and ‘Tak Dhina Din’ satellite TV license

The Ministry cancelled the ‘Mauja Mosti’ and ‘Tak Dhina Din’ satellite TV license effective today.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) today cancelled two satellite TV channels bringing down the number of registered permitted satellite TV channels to 906 as of today while increasing the cancelled TV channels to 333 as of today.

The Ministry cancelled the ‘Mauja Mosti’ and ‘Tak Dhina Din’ satellite TV license effective today. The satellite TV licenses held by Krishna Showbiz Service Private Limited have been cancelled with reason declared as ‘Not Required’.

MIB had granted ‘Mauja Mosti’ and ‘Tak Dhina Din’ license on 29th December 2014 to the company to operate two ‘NON-NEWS’ category licenses in Hindi language from INSAT 4-A. The company also holds ‘Dillagi’ license which remains operational according to MIB database.

The Ministry earlier this month dropped ‘News Plus’ from the permitted private satellite TV channels database bringing down the number of satellite TV channels from 909 to 908.
