MIB cancels Suddi TV, Chitrapat Marathi, Salvation, & 2 other TV license in November-December 2021

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) cancelled the satellite TV channel license permission of 5 channels in the month of November-December 2021.

The Ministry cancelled the permission of Suddi TV and Chitrapat Marathi in the month of November 2021. Suddi TV’s license was cancelled on 25th November 2021 due to the non-payment of annual permission fee whereas Chitrapat Marathi’s license was cancelled on 22th November 2021 due to its non-operational status coupled with the non-payment of annual fees and not applying for renewal of 10 year.

The Ministry cancelled the permission of Pearls Haryana Express, India Watch, and Salvation in the month of December 2021. Pearls Haryana Express license was cancelled on 21st December 2021 due to the non-payment of annual permission fee, negative networth, and not applying for renewal of 10 year.

MIB cancelled India Watch’s license on 27th December 2021 citing the non-payment of annual permission fee. Lastly, the license of ‘Salvation’ was cancelled on 30th December 2021 owing to the non-payment of annual fees and not applying for renewal of 10 year.
