MIB cancels Yeoda Cable, Veer Teja Cable MSO registration; closes Green City Communications MSO application
2 MSO registrations cancelled by MIB this month along with closure of 1 application for MSO registration.
This month, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) cancelled the Multi System Operator (MSO) registration of 2 MSOs, apart from closing the MSO registration application of a company.
Yeoda Cable Network’s MSO registration has been cancelled by the Ministry vide letter dated 11th June 2022.
Veer Tejas Cable Network surrendered its MSO registration vide letter dated 6th July 2022. The Ministry has cancelled the MSO registration vide letter dated 14th July 2022.
The Ministry has also closed the Green City Communications’ application dated 19th June 2020 for MSO registration on 14th July 2022 due to the failure of the applicant to submit requisite documents.
As per the ministry, as on 18th July 2022, the number of MSO registrations cancelled and applications for MSOs which have been rejected/closed stands at 158.
