MIB clears 12 MSO license in November, sitting on 101 license applications

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) has approved a total of twelve MSO applications in the month of November.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) has approved a total of twelve MSO applications in the month of November according to the statistics provided by the ministry which were accessed by DreamDTH.

Eleven licenses according to the ‘List of Registered MSOs as on 26.11.2019’ have been issued in November to M/s Laxmi Narayana Communication, M/s Lalu Digital Pvt. Ltd., M/s North India Digital & Broadband Network Pvt. Ltd., M/s Home Vu Digital Cable and Broadband Pvt. Ltd., M/s Alliance Cable N/W Seven Zero Seven, M/s Gatrad Krupa Cable Network, M/s Jai Bhole Nath Cable Network, M/s Ajanta Sky Darshan, M/s Shree Sai Vision, M/s Sanghani Cable Network, and M/s Mediatech Communication Pvt. Ltd. Another license was later issued after 26 November.

The ministry has approved the address change request of Paramount Digital Media Services (P) Ltd and Om Siba Shankar Cable Network (Prop. Lakshmi Narayana Dalai).

According to the statistics, the number of MSO applications received by the ministry in November was 14. The total number of MSO applications received from May 2019-October 2019 at the end of October stood at 133. The ministry approved 12 MSO applications in the month of November. On October 34 MSO applications had been approved.

The number of MSO applications pending with the ministry at the end of November was 101. The total number of MSO applications pending from May 2019- October 2019 at the end of October stood at 99 down by 1 from 100 at the end of September.
