The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) recently renamed Information TV Private Limited’s existing satellite TV channel license paving the way for the broadcaster to launch ‘India News Business’.
The Ministry renamed ITV Network’s satellite TV license ‘NE News’ to pave the way for ‘India News Business’. The renaming of the TV channel license was recently updated in MIB’s permitted satellite TV channel database in the last few days.

The ‘News and Current Affairs’ category TV channel license was initially granted to Information TV Private Limited on 8th April 2011 named ‘NewsX HD’. The TV license was subsequently renamed ‘News World Odisha’, ‘Delhi News’, and ‘NewsX Kannada’ before being renamed ‘NE News’.
The license is permitted to operate from the Indian satellite GSAT-17 with authorisation to broadcast in English, Hindi, and all Indian scheduled languages. The license has both uplinking and downlinking permission.
