Almost a year back Vision Corporation Limited was granted a new license in the name of Indian Fashion TV. The broadcaster registered its new trademark in the name of Movie Plus at the start of February following which it applied for rename license. Movie Plus has been using the license of Indian Fashion TV for some time. Given its name initially, it was expected that the channel would be a lifestyle channel focused on fashion. However ever since its feed started on c-band the broadcaster has been airing old Hindi movies.

The channel is running on Insat 4-A. It had landed a spot on DD Freedish during the 38th E-Auction which was held in February. The broadcaster also holds two other licenses Housefull Movies and Multiplex. Both of them are movie channels as well.

The ministry’s website was on Monday updated with the name change grants of RK News, RT, and Gemporia to The Nation Plus, Sadhna Bhakti, and Indology respectively.

As per the website of the ministry, it is yet to grant any new license to any broadcaster in June. The ministry in May granted new licenses to Star Sports 1 Malayalam, Epic HD, and Showbox. The ministry had also processed the name change application of Nat Geo People HD and Nat Geo Music HD to Nat Geo Tamil and Nat Geo Telugu.
