MIB registered MSOs list at 1664; 6 licenses cancelled this year

I&B Ministry has separately issued over 50+ licenses since the start of the year. The latest license was issued to Smart India Digital Services on 24th June 2020.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) has after a long gap of over 5 months has finally come out with the latest master list of registered, provisionally registered, and cancelled list of Multi System Operator (MSO) in India as on 25th June 2020. The latter stands at 80 while the former stands at 1664. The number of provisionally registered MSOs stands at 2 only.

The Ministry cancelled 6 licenses since the start of the year out of which 4 were due to negative net worth, 1 due to denial of security clearance, and 1 due to dissolution of partnership firm.

Shrimateshwari Cable T.V. Network, Modern Cable Network, Geo9 Cable Network, Inishia Media Pvt. Ltd, ALCOA Digital Pvt., and City Online Media Pvt are the 6 MSOs who have had their licenses cancelled.

I&B Ministry has separately issued over 50+ licenses since the start of the year. The latest license was issued to Smart India Digital Services on 24th June 2020. The registered MSOs list now stands at 1664, up from 1616 at the end of December 2019 which was the last time the I&B Ministry updated its registered master list.

Ltd., Sneha Digital Networks, Bangabhumi Cable
and Broadband Pvt. Ltd, AIS Cable & Broadband Pvt. Ltd., Durga Digital (OPC) Pvt. Ltd, Asian Cable Network, GTPL Vijayaraya Network, Sri Sai Cable and Broadband Pvt. Ltd., VSN Network, Sri Srinivasa Cable Network, City Cable Network, Star Digital Services, Mak Infrapromoters, Cloudnet Infocom Pvt. Ltd, Global Vision Cable TV & Internet, U-Digital Network Pvt. Ltd, Digicast Network Pvt. Ltd, Bongaon Cable T.V. Network, FM Video, Uma Cable, Midnexa Networks Pvt. Ltd, Siddhi Vinayak Cable Bhainsdehi, Baroda Cable Network, E-Star Digital Cable TV Network, Bangalore
Broadband Network Pvt. Ltd., Meet Cable Vision, Lightfiber Telenetworks Pvt. Ltd., Modern Network Digital Pvt. Ltd., Kamdhenu Digital Network, RK Digital Cable Network, and Smart India Digital Services have been granted registrations by the I&B Ministry since January.
