The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) recently renamed the satellite TV license of Dharm Media Ventures Private Limited allowing the company to operate ‘Hope Channel India’ on the license it owns. The renaming comes within just 3 months of MIB renaming the license from ‘Naaptol Malayalam’ to ‘V11’ in December 2020.

Dharm Media Ventures was in 2011 granted the TV license by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) to operate a Non-News channel in the name of ‘Dharm Sangeet’. The TV license was later renamed to make way for the regional shopping channel ‘Naaptol Malaylam’. The license was then named ‘V11’ before being renamed as ‘Hope Channel India’.
