Direct to Home (DTH) operator Airtel Digital TV is now only offering access to Airtel Xstream app for new customers buying the Airtel Xstream Box with the complimentary subscription of ZEE5 which was available to new customers no longer available. The change has happened recently although it is unknown as to when the same took place.
According to the dedicated microsite for Airtel Xstream Box, new Airtel Xstream Box users will only get 3 months of subscription to Airtel Xstream App as an introductory forum. Since the inception of Airtel Xstream Box, new customers used to get a 1-year subscription of Airtel Xstream Box and ZEE5.
This however changed in mid July with Airtel Digital TV cutting down on the introductory offer which was reduced from 12 months to 3 months. Airtel has now once again cut downed on the introductory offer with new customers now only getting 3 months of access to Airtel Xstream app.
Airtel however yesterday revamped its broadband plans wherein customers who are cross-sold Xstream Box with Airtel Xstream Fiber will be able to enjoy access to Disney+ Hotstar, Amazon Prime Video, and ZEE5 provided they are subscribed to eligible plans. Airtel Xstream Box can be availed at Rs 1500 on refundable security deposit by eligible Airtel Xstream Fiber customers.
In other news, Airtel recently offered 1 year Airtel Xstream Premium subscription to its DTH customers. The DTH operator sent out SMSes to eligible customers informing about the crediting of 1 year subscription.
