Now self-install Airtel Xstream Box through zero-contact delivery
Airtel now allowing self-installation of Airtel Xstream Box ordered online through zero-contact delivery.

Bharti Telemedia run Airtel Digital TV has started offering two different types of installations for its Airtel Xstream Box. Prospective Airtel Digital TV customers who wish to procure Airtel Xstream Box can now either opt for an ‘Engineer Install’ or ‘Self Install’. The installation options can be exercised by those ordering a new Airtel Xstream Box either through the Airtel website or the Airtel Thanks app.
As per Airtel, ‘Engineer Install‘ will involve Airtel Engineer visiting the new customer’s household to install your Xstream Box. Airtel states that it takes all safety precautions while doing the installation. Those opting for this method will have to cough up Rs 250 as the installation charge which is to be paid to the visiting engineer in cash.
Whereas ‘Self Install’ will carry Rs 0 installation charge with customers opting for zero contact delivery. Those opting for this method will have to install their Xstream Box themselves with the help of the Self Install Guide provided by Airtel.

Airtel is currently offering the ‘Self Install’ option for HD to Xstream Box upgrade. Whether the company is offering the same for new installations is unknown at this point in time.
