Prasar Bharati last week engaged Rahul Mahajan as the Head of Content Operations, National Zone of Doordarshan on a full-time contract basis effective 21st September 2020 after Prasar Bharati Secretariat’s offer of engagement on 19th September 2020 was accepted.
Rahul Mahajan has been engaged for a period of three years with a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs 2,45,000. Rahul Mahajan will report to the CEO, Prasar Bharati who will be the controlling officer with regards to the performance of his duties.
Rahul Mahajan was earlier the Editor-in-Chief of Rajya Sabha Television and had recently stepped down from his post. He has 26 years of media experience with 23 years in news channels in various positions including as Special Correspondent, Senior Editor, and Senior Executive Editor.
He had formerly served as Consultant Editor, Prasar Bharti before becoming the Editor-in-Chief of Rajya Sabha Television.
