Prasar Bharati sets up online portal for submission of new programme proposals
Online portal set up by Prasar Bharati for submission of programme proposals.

Public broadcaster Prasar Bharati has set up an online portal public to serve as a single-window for the submission of new programmes under revenue share, outside sponsorship, and commissioning mode.
The broadcaster receives proposals from rights holders and production houses offering their programmes under various acquisition modes like revenue share, outside sponsorship, and commissioning through letters and emails.
The broadcaster will now not consider proposals for new programmes received through other modes other than its online portal. The proposals can be submitted in any of the languages for which option is given in the portal. The offerer also has to provide the DD channel for which the offer is made.
DD Tripura, DD Podhigai, DD National, DD Yadagiri, DD Bangla, DD Jharkhand, DD Girnar, DD Kisan, DD News, DD Manipur, DD Uttar Pradesh, DD Meghalaya, DD Mizoram, DD Sports, DD India, DD Arun Prabha, DD DD Sahyadri, DD Himachal Pradesh, DD Chanda, DD Urdu, DD Bharati, DD Rajasthan, DD Goa, DD Kashir, DD Madhya Pradesh, DD Retro, DD Assam, DD Punjabi, DD Bihar, DD Malayalam, DD Odia, DD Uttrakhand, DD Haryana, DD Nagaland, DD Chattisgarh, and DD Saptagiri are the current DD channels in operation.
The proposals will be processed as per the guidelines in force. A higher priority will be given to the acquisition of programmes under outside sponsorship and revenue share. The programmes will be commissioned for a channel under Prasar Bharati budgetary support only if they are of National significance, iconic, strategic importance and commercially viable for Prasar Bharati.
The public broadcaster may however commission programmes of high content value or in public interest with full budget support in exceptional cases. The proposals submitted will be evaluated quarterly by the broadcaster.
