Direct to Home (DTH) operator Tata Sky has updated its ‘Tata Sky Mobile’ app with two new features which subscribers had been waiting for. Users can now search for shows, movies and channels with their voice. The app can now also restart live TV shows anytime.

Tata Sky has integrated Google voice search in the Mobile app so that its users can find what they are looking for easily in between the plethora of other contents without the hassle of typing.

In the new version of Tata Sky Mobile app, the DTH operator has also added the option to restart live TV shows with just one click. This feature works as an alternative to recording. You can watch your favourite shows from 400+ channels anytime at your wish.

Restart and Voice Search feature added in Tata Sky Mobile App

Tata Sky Mobile app is a free service from Tata Sky to its subscribers which gives access to live TV, on-demand movies and shows and 7 days catch-up TV. Using this app you can also use your phone as remote for Tata Sky HD + set-top boxes.

The app comes handy in managing your Tata Sky account. It offers premium movies on rent which can be accessed in the app and on the web at watch.tatasky.com for 48 hours from ordering. Over-the-top (OTT) apps are competing with the DTH sector, due to which a smooth, feature and a content-rich app is necessary.

The update was pushed on 17th December on the Play Store in the latest 9.11 version of the Tata Sky Mobile app. The new feature went live on the web version on 27th December.
