Viacom18’s Hindi Movie channel Rishtey Cineplex which relaunched last week on 4th June will be converting into a Pay channel from Free to Air (FTA) channel effective July 8, 2020. Indiacast Media has notified the conversion of nature of the channel in line with the compliances mandated by the provision of Telecommunication (Broadcasting and Cable) Services (Eighth) (Addressable Systems) Tariff Order 2017.
Rishtey Cineplex is currently available on DD Free Dish post its relaunch on 4th June is currently a Free to Air channel. Indiacast has now notified it as a Pay channel effective July 8 for pay platforms. Rishtey Cineplex will be available to customers at an a-la-carte price of Rs 0.25 excluding applicable taxes, levies, and cess.
Indiacast has also bundled Rishtey Cineplex in the revised TV18 bouquets. However, the same is applicable only on the new Reference Interconnect Offer (RIO) that was notified earlier this year and is currently not in play across DTH and MSO operators.
DTH and MSO operators are on Indiacast RIO version of 2019 which mean that you won’t be seeing the channel in your subscribed Colors bouquets if any.
Unless a free preview offer is in the pipeline, you are going to have to subscribe the channel on a-la-carte basis at Rs 0.25 excluding taxes. This of course is only applicable if your DTH or MSO operator on boards Rishtey Cineplex on its distribution platform next month.
Rishtey Cineplex with a brand promise of ‘Filmein Must Hai’ will air a slew of choicest movies cutting across different genres and films dubbed in Hindi from regional markets as well.
The channel has a robust library of over 500 movies are currently airing on DD Free Dish channel number 38. It is aiming at to satiate the audience’s movie palette with a mix of Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi and Bhojpuri movies dubbed in Hindi.
Rishtey Cineplex will host two movie festivals along with a premiere every month and strengthen its content repository to be armed with a movie library of 1500+ hours, including 500+ unique titles.
