Sun Direct has last week changed the LCN of three of its sister network Sun Network’s channels. The LCN of Chintu TV, Chutti TV, and Kushi TV has been changed. The LCN changes were first spotted by DreamDTH.
Chutti TV which is a Tamil Kids channel has been moved from its previous LCN 110 to LCN 529. Chintu TV, a Kannada Kids channel has been moved from its current LCN 260 to LCN 523. The last channel whose LCN has been changed is Kushi TV, a Telugu Kids channel. It has been moved from LCN 529 to LCN 521.
Chutti TV was earlier placed among the Tamil channels genre and now has been moved to Kids genre. The same has happened with Chintu TV which was earlier placed in the Kannada channels genre. Kushi TV was placed among Kids genre earlier as well but now has a higher LCN slot.
All the three channels are Kids channels from Sun Network’s stable. The DTH operator, however, didn’t change the LCN of Kochu TV, a Malayalam Kids channel from the same network. The channel currently remains placed in the Malayalam genre.
Few Sun Direct users commented on the operator’s move to not change Kochu TV LCN.

“In my opinion they should bring Asianet Movies to Kochu TV’s LCN.”

The 4 channels have been declared as a Kids channel by the broadcaster with LCN placement expected to be among competing channels like Pogo, Marvel HQ, Disney, Sony YAY, etc. The LCN change meets the expectation of the broadcasters RIO on the placement of its Kids channels except for Kochu TV which is currently placed in the wrong genre.
