DTH operator Tata Sky on Wednesday launched 3 new monthly, semi-annual and annual curated packs namely Kannada Lite Plus pack, semi-annual Kannada Value Plus pack and annual Kannada Lite Plus pack respectively, first spotted by DreamDTH.
Kannada Lite Plus and annual Kannada Lite Plus packs are identical in terms of channels offered. Both of them consist of 45 standard definition (SD) channels- 1 Hindi movie, 2 Hindi news, 1 English news, 3 Kids, 6 Telugu regional, 2 Urdu, 8 Tamil regional, 12 Kannada regional, 6 Malayalam regional, 1 music and 3 knowledge channels.
The monthly charge for this Kannada Lite Plus plan is Rs 249 (including taxes and NCF) while its annual variant is priced at Rs 2,988. Semi-annual Kannada Value Plus pack is priced higher at Rs 1,878 for 6 months (approx 313 per month) because it contains a total of 74 channels including sports channels also.
DreamDTH spoke to Tata Sky regarding the launch of the new package. A Tata Sky Representative said
“Both of these long term annual and semi-annual plans are not available for its existing customers. It is available to subscribers only for new Tata Sky connections purchased in selected regions of Karnataka through local dealers.”
