Tata Sky has decided to upgrade its Video Compression System. On 21st and 22nd, August Tata Sky is going to upgrade the Video Compression System of INSAT4A TP23 and GSAT10 TP-K7. This up-gradation will take place between 00:30 to 05:30 hours to minimize any interruption to viewers. If any customer gets No Signal or Blue screen then they are advised to perform a Hard Reboot of their Set Top Box.

INSAT 4A TP-23 includes Showcase 1, Showcase 4, Animal Planet, TLC HD World, Sony Pix, Tata Sky Marathi Cinema, Gemini TV, Tata Sky Aradhana, Tata Sky Ibaadat, Sun TV, Sony Ten 1 HD, Zee Cafe, Star Sports 1 Hindi, CNBC TV18 Prime HD, Star Sports Select HD 1 and Movies Now.

Adopting new technology will help in using available resources more efficiently. Tata Sky is using the latest upgraded Ericsson AVP chain, this upgrade will save more bandwidth and help Tata Sky in adding more channels. A similar upgrade was done by Tata Sky in 2017 also. This upgrade will not cause any change in Signal, Picture, or Audio quality.
