One of the major satellite television broadcasters of India Viacom18 has announced to rename MTV HD+ and Rishtey Cineplex channels with effect from April 1st 2022. DreamDTH has seen a notice that is being sent by the broadcaster to all distributors informing them about the latest change.
MTV HD+ is a youth channel that will be renamed to ‘MTV HD’, Viacom18 is dropping plus sign from the channel name. Rishtey Cineplex, on the other hand, is a free to air Hindi movie channel that is being renamed to ‘Colors Cineplex Superhits’.
The wordmark for Colors Cineplex Superhits with its new logo was submitted in February 2022 and we already have the confirmed logo for this soon to be rebranded FTA television channel.
Under the currently effective Reference Interconnect Offer (RIO), MTV HD+ costs Rs 5 per month while Rishtey Cineplex is chargeable at Rs 0.25 per month, although it is available on Prasar Bharati’s DD Free Dish platform too.Â
