The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) is currently sitting on 121 applications for a new MSO license at the end of July 2021. As per the performance statistics published by MIB, the number of pending MSO licenses with the Ministry has remained stable from April 2020 till date in between 110-120 applications.
The Ministry received 5 new MSO applications in July 2021 with a cumulative 288 MSO license applications received till July 2021 by MIB. The Ministry had earlier received 4 new MSO applications in June 2021. The Ministry approved 3 MSO applications in July 2021 with a cumulative 167 MSO applications approved in recent times by the MIB.
As of 20th July 2021, MIB has granted 1732 MSO registrations with three new MSO licenses in July 2021. Soham Cable Network, Trans Tele Data, Pankaj Cable Network, TV Cable Service, Veera Cable Satellite Communication Network, Malik Digital Vision, and Gvt Engcon have been granted MSO registrations since June 2021.
