That's why I believe d2h very smart in dropping channels early

They don't even add channels from their own sister tv network , also just imagine that despite having lower carriage fee FTA channels aren't agreeing to become part of dish d2h and premium audience too stays away from them. This kind of smart thinking is resulting in downfall of their brands. D2H was doing so better while Videocon operated it and even Tata Sky users adopted it but now most will find digital cable as better alternative to them.

MBC should not be removed. It was removed for 1-2 years before TS readded it. It will be very bad for Odia viewers like @SarfaRaZ and @IndiaN. Anjan is also a good Bhojpuri channel.

Many channels want to be on Tata Sky but their high carriage fee makes it tough more often than not to arrive at mutually acceptable terms.

Tata Sky wants to earn max thru carriage channels and subscribers while operators like airtel keep prices affordable for us by making way for more teleshopping content on home channels and giving platform to large number of carriage channels at price point within their budget.

Above is the reason why Tata Sky resisted tariff order , they wanted no cap on carriage rates and initial ncf slab. Those who paid carriage fee will be part of complimentary bouquet while other FTA channels will have to be subscribed under ncf slab thus it would have given opportunity to maximise earnings on both sides.
