5.1 output in Videocon D2H HD Box

Dear Friends,

I want to upgrade my Standard Setup Box to HD Box not DVR but only HD.
On it's website it shows something about 1890 rs and 1000 rebate to our account.

Please any one confirm that HD normal box provide 5.1 out put.

If yes then how?

Yes, it has 5.1 audio output in few HD channels via coaxial connector. You need a HT receiver to get 5.1 audio.

zero bro videocon d2h has dolby digital sound on all hd channels which transmit dolby sound from their end. videocon d2h does not create fake pseudo 5.1 sound for hd chs which do not relay in dolby sound from channels end, tata aksy and airtel give fake 5.1 dolby sound on amny chs

Yes Dear Yes Dear Videocon D2H has provide 5.1 Dolby digital sound on some of its HD Channels I think there are ten channels which are enabled with Dolby sound. If you have home theater and it has coaxial out port then simply connect coaxial cable to your STB SP/DIF Port with your HT via Coaxial cable then go to settings and enable home cinema option in audio then u see the dolby sound is enable on your channels.

I am using the below decoder to convert digital audio (coaxial/optical) into analog 5.1.

It is giving proper 5.1 sound when connecting my DVD player which is having optical audio output. But I am not getting 5.1 audio from my Videocon HD set top box on any of the channel having Dolby Digital audio option.
