Regional Sports HD channels r needed for key markets, having audio feeds on a channel have various limitations hence cannot be a solution for catering to regional audiences .

What are the limitations?

Star Sports 3 with audiofeed for West Bengal and Tripura. A channel with analogue cable level PQ. Star Sports 1 Tamil and Star Sports 1 Tamil HD for Tamil Nadu. Sure there is no bias. I am racist.

What are the limitations?

Audio feeds makes sense. I see dubbed ads not ads of local brand during live events. They are making us fools saying local channels have big reach for advertisement. Otherwise why isn't IPL or BCCI rights doesn't have auction for regional rights. Sun can go for Tamil audience. ETV can go for Telugu audience.

bcoz in this case audio/language feeds best suits the needs of both disney star and viewers

U mean to say brands should be charged same for regional ads and hindi ads r both will get equal reach?... Also what if more regional local ads r to be aired on such multi audio supported channels, broadcasters should be okay with giving separate slots to such ads rather won't it be better to use all slots properly & maximise revenue by having separate channels for different key languages . Also how will they air customised regional + hindi pre/post match shows on a single channel?

Buddy as i have said launching such channels or having regional audio feeds on a single channel is decided based ob various factors. Whatever is best possible route for a financially viable business model and for catering effectively to concerned audience is then adopted accordingly

Hungama HD would have been the 10th HD channel ,which too was ignored along with Jalsha Josh by Star Network.

As a Bengali fan, I feel we are little bit deprived from Bengali entertainment channel.

Don't believe anyone saying they will launch future channels. It's pure non sense. Their job is to sugarcoat everything to hide truth about their favourite brands.
