Sad News Airtel Digital TV increased NCF charges

excellent video quality?.. seems you haven't watched SD channels in d2h, still my mom angry with me, as i moved to airtel to stop her watching the serials in sun tv , as airtel has poor pq and no fav. system.
Hd channels bro...SD is also good but maybe depends on the stb and channels, for example picture quality of Hindi music as channels are good like tataplay...also if you have that old hevc model, you will not get good quality, only min100, new hd box and x stream (*1080p mode) provides best possible quality

*Depends on tv but in LG and VU, 1080p provides sharper picture than 4k output
 
@Rajkumar anna please join the fun ....many members here who have such aversion towards Airtel that they simply cannot withstand to accept or hear anything positive about it.... Won't be engaging in such discussions where i know no matter what i say still their negative viewpoint about Airtel won't change bcoz it is based on mostly on somehow portraying Airtel as being wrong and constantly criticise it for largely smaller shortcomings thereby making it seem as if these r so big or many times without valid reason too.... All this while just acknowledging the various positive aspects
I am replying to this because actually what happens is whenever Airtel does something good you have your infinity word paragraph ready to praise Airtel for that achievement, and I have absolutely no problem with it. Everyone becomes happy as a customer when something good happens which will benefit them.Even I as a Sun Direct customer is also happy whenever this happens.
But, on the other side if some bad move is made by Airtel,then also you have your infinity word paragraph ready to defend Airtel which others become frustrated with because already they are angry for that bad move like now. NCF is most valid reason anyone would be angry.
I am neither fan nor hater of Airtel as idk its service. As someone who has seen this cycle of posts happening continuously in DDF, specially in Airtel threads I just stated my pov.
 
At least in the internet sector we can understand that they need to increase the price to give good signal strength all over India. But why in the DTH sector, here all DTHs are providing the same coverage and the major watched channels are also available on all DTHs.

Airtel first increased the pack prices, implemented 30 day lock-in period. But they got the support of the customers on these. Now they have no fear of losing customers.

In the financial statement of Q2 FY'25, their ARPU decreased by Rs 1 to Rs 167. Now they have increased the NCF to Rs 168 to ensure that it does not go down.

First and foremost buddy i really appreciate the fact that u have responded in a very proper and dignified manner which us what everyone should do and this is how proper discussion is engaged in.

Now answering to ur perception/viewpoint, well buddy be it Airtel or any other company i never take any sides or have any biases..... I have always maintained good things need to be appreciated and for shortcomings a constructive and balanced sharing of views is important...... Unfortunately many members constantly criticise Airtel for smallest of issues and make it seem as if these r such big issues thereby making statements like Airtel is worst, also on many instances Airtel is criticised even when there is no actual reason to do so hence u will see me debunking those wrong facts while for such issues wherein there is an actual need for improvement and some members just exaggerate on it while neglecting the positives there i put forward my explanation as to how a one sided negative opinion is not the right approach alongside providing constructive suggestions for the same.

For example when Airtel Digital TV did have channels like Star Kiran HD, Pravah Picture HD, Disney Channel HD then see how certain members continuously made comments saying Airtel is useless and it does not add channels while competely sidelining the fact that Airtel has been adding various channels and certain channel additions were delayed bcoz of valid reasons which i explained..... Those some members without understanding what i have stated just poke fun at me and start name calling thus not adding anything valuable on the topic being discussed...... After these channels were added u can see that these many of these members did not even like the post or expressed happiness / appreciation about the same .


All i all there is a bias towards Tata Play and making Anti Airtel positioning which i notice in posts of certain members

Customers support a company if it provides good service offerings + quality even if pricing is little higher and Airtel has a proven track record in its mobile, broadband and DTH business of never comprising on the basics so as to give best in class experience to its customers.... Also just to clarify even other DTH operators like Tata Play have increased pack and NCF pricing, they even brought back service visit fee which is now Rs. 200, increase minimum recharge amount to Rs. 200 and generally speaking have lower variety and discounts on its various regular / region specific / retention packs.... Also they hiked their Binge OTT pack pricing and even Tata Play Binge Boxes r costlier than Airtel XStream Smart Android Boxes though quality wise Airtel Boxes r far better, even Tata Play removed Dolby Audio feature and separate AV ports from its HD boxes as a cost cutting measure as they r suffering from heavy losses...... How many times do u see members share constant criticism on the same while incase of Airtel each small issue or many times for no actual reason such loud criticism is done on a regular basis

No connection with the same..... For ARPU increase they have various other strategies for regular as well as niche customers who use XStream Box...... NCF increase is merely related to offsetting inflation cost and here too a Rs. 15 increase has happened while for revenue growth and absorbing rising expenditures Airtel Digital TV still focuses on expanding its ad + carriage fee revenue so that cost burden passed onto customers is minimal
 
Sounds funny...if 4 boxes are launched, you call it innovation? What extra features each box has over others? 😂
So called innovation, could not implement even basic proper Fav system 😂

Just to let u know bro launching new box variants is extremely essential for various tech related reasons and so is updating exiisting boxes with regular software update which aligns to provide good user experience and best of features....all this is responsibility of R&D Team.....lastly i highlighted just one thing, there r many which i have discussed upon before hence please go thru my prior posts fo knowing the same
 
What question you asked man,
Lot of innovations added in airtel recently,
one is Add channel button in the unsubscribed channels in xstream box, forcing customers accidentally subscribe the channel,
30 days lock in period for a la carte channels.
What else you want,
Still Airtel is cost effective dth , with top notch PQ /AQ in all the SD / HD channels.
It's all Airtel doing with increasing the cost is for future of the company to create more innovations which in deed benefit to customers , customers will see the benefits not later than 2050.

Unfortunately buddy u r so drawn into just criticising Airtel that u see everything from negative prism and do not want to see the positive things/improvements done......
 
Only good thing in airtel is excellent audio and video quality but if we see the bad things there are many- no Viacom hd music channels, no proper fav system , 30 day lock in , higher ncf ( recent increase), no offers on packs like TP, worst khichdi app, ..so even though it provides best audio and video qualities the negatives are just too many to ignore, over time you have counteracted my points by giving not so convincing/too good to be true explanation and people have kept patients over your false hopes but eventually people realized over time...also you have always said either positive or neutral about airtel but no negative about airtel

Let's examine your explanation/justification for the negatives-

Missing Viacom hd channels: MTV beats is not a popular channels, people don't need it as they watch music videos through ott, channels will be launched soon (fake commitments day after day, month after months and eventually those turning to years and decade is near! 🙏

No proper fav system: my family remember all the lcns , I expect 4 digit lcn along with fav soon (again false commitment), fav system with profile exist in xstream box etc

30 day lock-in: this is done to increase revenue and provide better service to customer 😂🙏, all other dth will soon implement this ( in reality it never happened and only airtel has this to loot customer)

Someone pls add more points if you remember...overall I have compiled all explanations provided by him .

Buddy cherrypicking few lines from my comments while ignoring what more i said on such topics , tweaking their meaning and presenting it to support ur viewpoint is not a great thing to do.

Anyways for each thing u mentioned i have number of times given explanation so will not again do the same, unfortunately u r not willing to understand what i stated and hence i cannot help anymore regarding this. ....
