Breaking Airtel in advanced talks to buy Tata Play

Its sad news for Tata play users, though happy with airtel , but don't like its dth policies . there is a possibility airtel would increase channel lock in period in Tata play from 1 day to 30 days like in airtel, citing losses incurred by tata play. hope they retain both brands or at least improve customer service like earlier Tata sky.

Hahaha....buddy atleast now stop criticising Airtel , let them now first complete this acquisition process and see what changes happen..... Since long time many members have continuously poked fun or criticised Airtel without even an actual reason to do so.....Remember despite all challenges Airtel has managed to run a successful DTH business while other operators have faced losses so there must be something right they r doing hence now even planning to expand in this segment with this takeover.... It is much better to run a profitable business rather than face losses and shut down company....also by and large Airtel has not passed on cost burden to customers but tried to increase revenue via carriage fee , ads on home channels, bundled Airtel Black Plans (which give customers many benefits) ......even Airtel XStream Play App offers great value for money offerings where too content library will see further expansion alongwith many other new changes

Now i hope members understand that maintenance activities which were ongoing on regular basis for last 18 months or so had a purpose...expecting more announcements

Tataplay already in losses Airtel is the only option to "Rule" forever in DTH,

Both companies subscribers are their childrens so automatically so many positive things like best offers etc...will comeout,

Actually Tatasky is brand of India but now it's Tataplay not sky...
It is the best time to Tata "Exist" from DTH business and everything under Airtel sure they will rock.

As an Airtel fiber user, i'm interested in internet based live tv (or iptv) in xstream box/app, not DTH with TRAI's rates.
