But infact it is Tata Play who has increased NCF not Airtel Digital TV..... Also lock in period though not good for customers but again as i have said in order to have a sustainable business model companies have to balance out between what benefits customers and what is good for financial health + growth of company..... Unless company is having a positive financial health customers won't get good quality service in long term and on a constant basis.... Airtel be it in Telecom , DTH or Broadband business has always kept a great balance regarding these 2 things thus have succeeded in overcoming huge challenges and run respective businesses efficiently

most probably cancelled this plan as they wanted to sell DTH business and when they bought back stake held by foreign investors i had stated in the forum that usually such things happen when company is in process of merging or selling out the business
Sad to see DTH industry is dying this way
I always thought DTH can compete because of the higher arpu customer base
They are losing this battle because of their own mistakes OTT isn’t perfect and expensive still they are cracking this business
I am sensing that later we might see either Tata Play merging with Airtel Digital TV or maybe merged Disney-Star + Reliance entity buying out Tata Play....Already Disney owns 30% stake in Tata Play, there was lot of news earlier on that Disney might sell this stake but it did not happen which further give rise to speculations whether some changes r on way

Buddy i am not pro or anti any company.... I a happy if any company has a business strategy which benefits both their financial health and customers..... I have been saying since long time that Airtel has done fab job in doing so though many members just criticised Airtel for smallest of things without looking at wider perspective as to why they implemented that policy and ofcourse many times criticised Airtel without any actual reason too.
Everyone should be happy if any company is able to grow and provide great service to its customers....u too please smile now
