I'm planning to move from cable to DTH. I'm looking for android box to change my tv to smart tv and watch ott apps. I've considered Airtel Xsteam and Tata Play Binge+. I'm looking for the one which doesn't lag and perform somewhat like nvidia shield. I'm considering Tata Play Binge, as it has better favorite management with and more channels, but not sure due to lagging issue as mentioned in this forum. Also Airtel came with new Android 12 box, but Tata play is still using old box without any update. These are my considerations.

1. Better performance - less boot time, less lag, fast channel changing
2. Better picture and sound quality in both OTT and DTH
3. Favorite channels with easy switching only favorite channels
4. More HD channels with Dolby sound

Better you can get smart tv or fire stick for OTTs and go for tatasky or d2h for dth as it has fav. channel option , also per day ala carte charge and better PQ for SD channels

I've a smart tv, but it lags a lot. Even youtube hangs when playing 2k and 4k videos. I only have 3 hdmi ports on my TV, which are already occupied by PS4, Cable TV and ARC port for home theatre. So, no port for fire stick. That's why I'm looking for a hybrid Dth box
