Annual or Monthly Package?

This thread is for all those looking to take a new dth :hd connection including me :c

What confuses most is if should we go for annual package or monthly , as taking annual packages with new connection will get you good discounts , what are major disadvantages if we go annually? :-/

Second thing is which DTH service can we trust for 1 year(if we assume going annually)?till now as per what i researched tatasky seems to be good option but only disadvantage is recording - their HD box doesnt having recording with pendrive - Guys let me know your thoughts. :u

It seems only three DTH are good - Tatasky , Videocon , Airtel - so confused between the three :huh

Rough Estimate for yearly packages (Entertainment+news+movies-english & hindi) -
Tatasky - around 6k
D2h - 5600
Airtel - 5500

Go for Airtel since it is cheap and good hardware and software...

if you dont worry about spending little more means go with tata sky...


And in Airtel - :hd Plus Addon for Rs 260 includes all channels (including possible hike this year) + Any packages starting from 99 Rs
In tata Sky- :hd Acess policy for Rs 175 includes channels that are available in your availed pack + Packs starting from 180 Rs

Thanks , one of my friend told tatasky is very slow if we switch between channels frequently,it takes 1-2 sec to switch between channel , is it still a problem or they had fixed this? Also how is it costly only difference is rs.500-600/year approx
