I think more than hindi storytellers regional storytellers have high potential as their shows remakes are also doing good specially bengali storytellers
Star Jalsha shows are successfully brought to other languages but Star Jalsha itself does not usually have adaptations of South Indian shows. Only Star Plus shows are sometimes adapted to Bengali. Bhaggolokkhi (apparently adapted from Pandian Stores) is an exception.I think more than hindi storytellers regional storytellers have high potential as their shows remakes are also doing good specially bengali storytellers
One time after mahabharat star was doing show named ashoka on life story of ashoka with siddharth tewary but then colors came and launched teaser so star scrapped that projectAnother thing that occurred a few months ago, I recall, was the launching of 2 new fiction shows, Prothoma Kadombini on Star Jalsha and Kadombini on Zee Bangla, which are based on the same subject - life story of India's first practising female doctor Kadambini Ganguly. There were different production houses, casts, directors and time slots for the shows, but there was a confusion among the viewers as a result. Both channels stated that it was unintentional and coincidental that two channels had come up with the same subject fiction at the same time. Has this kind of thing happened in other language domain, specially in Hindi or Thamizh GEC?
Oh Bhaggolokkhi is adaptation of Pandian stores... It is doing well, btw. In top 10 serials previous week, it was there...Star Jalsha shows are successfully brought to other languages but Star Jalsha itself does not usually have adaptations of South Indian shows.
