Update from local Cable operator suggested that service will be restored on tomorrow evening.
I'm standing with cable operators who are literally fighting for our rights. Shame on DTH operators for not raising a single voice.

I think, broadcasters promoting OTT from the 1st day NTO 1.0 launched. I saw that some of the broadcasters air their episodes on OTT first. Like, D+Hotstar air fresh episodes at 6 am. Zee5 air even 24 hours earlier. SonyLiv started air their episodes same time as tv but they did it earlier with Baalveer Returns. It used to air at 9 am and then on tv at 8 pm. But this was resulted in decreasing trp of the show. So they stopped airing this before tv. But, the point is that broadcasters also want that more and more viewers shift to OTT.
In Digitalization Era and before Digitalization Era . Viewership on Cable TV was more as compared to DTH Services.

I don't take these news articles with question marks seriously. Provide data than publish. Coming to that article this is mostly about digital news publisher they will lose traffic as they are entering into a premium model. Don't post this here on television forum. This is about digital news site.

Again this is not relevant in this forum. Also 4G usage is at it's peak. Their will be a little slowdown because people are moving towards broadband. You posted last month's article where information is not relevant now. Now prices of mobile got cheaper in the new budget.

Should a shopkeeper try not to sell items whose prices are increased drastically? IMO it's the end consumer's choice whether to buy it or not. Why DPOs are charging the maximum NCF of ₹153 without offering any discounts? TV industry should be fair. Broadcasters are complying the NTO rules and they have the full right to price and cash in their services taking the expense, profit and demand into consideration. And it's the duty of DPOs to comply with the rules.

Top DTH provider TATA PLAY is not giving any discount in NCF. Manpower costs were also more for Cable tv industry.
