MUMBAI: Christine Fellowes will be replacing Universal Networks International Asia Pacific MD Raymund Miranda - and will overlook the company's combined pay-TV channels business in the region.
The appointment is based in Singapore and effective immediately.
Fellowes will report to Universal Networks International & TV Distribution president Belinda Menendez.
Prior to this appointment, Fellowes was working with Comcast International Media Group (CIMG), the global division of US media conglomerate Comcast Corporation, who confirmed their majority ownership of NBC Universal in January 2011.
Based in Hong Kong, Fellowes was working as CIMG MD Asia Pacific -- overseeing E! Entertainment, The Style Network and The Golf Channel.
In her new role, Fellowes will manage Universal Networks International's combined channel brands in the Asia Pacific region, namely: Syfy Universal, Diva Universal, Universal Channel, 13th St Universal, E! Entertainment, The Style Network and The Golf Channel.
Also, Fellowes will focus on creating a more integrated regional organisation, with greater cohesion and better efficiencies between NBC Universal's Asia Pacific television groups.
To this end, Fellowes will continue to work closely with Asia Pacific for International TV Distribution Asia Pacific SVP sales liaison Justin Che, who is based in LA - and CNBC Asia president Satpal Brainch, as well as other NBC Universal businesses in the region.

Prior to establishing CIMG's Asia Pacific operation in 2007, Fellowes -- as CEO -- launched the Asian operation of ClickThings, a New York-based technology company.
Fellowes also serves on the Board of Directors of CASBAA and on the Advisory Council for Women's Media Networks.
